| Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow, Poland In 1988 Janusz Makuch and Krzysztof Gierat organized first edition of the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow. It aimed to bring back memory of century-long Jewish presence in Poland. Throughout 30 years, under the leadership of Janusz Makuch, the festival has grown to the largest in a world presentation of contemporary Jewish culture from Israel and Diaspora. Every year, more than 30,000 people come from all over the globe to Kazimierz - the Jewish quarter of Krakow, to celebrate richness and diversity of both secular and religious Jewish culture, reborn after the Holocaust and after many years of hibernation under the communist rule. Each edition of the festival features almost 250 events, including concerts, DJ-parties, lectures, workshops, guided tours, art ehibitions, film screening and many more events, that give thousand of participants unique and personal Jewish experience. 
28th edition of the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow will be held between June 22nd and July 1st, 2018, under the title "Zion." The upcoming edition will celebrate 70th anniversary of the State of Israel and 100th anniversary of Poland's independence. See you in Kazimierz this summer!  27th edition of the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow took place between June 23rd and July 4th, 2017 and it was entirely dedicated to Jerusalem in 50th anniversary of the unification of the city. 212 events took place in Kazimierz during 27th edition of the festival. All of them were inspired by Jerusalem - the capital of Israel and showed its many faces, layers and meanings.
